DFG-Movie Event 2024
The DFG film evening traditionally takes place on the eve of the opening of the film festival in Hamburg. As in previous years, we were guests at the Abaton cinema and showed a DFG-insured film. This year we watched the film ‘One Million Minutes’. The film is based on the autobiographical novel of the same name by Wolf Küper, which tells the story of the Küper family. The Küper family embarks on an almost two-year journey (1 million minutes) to escape the hectic pace of everyday life and have more time for the finer things in life.
Olaf Hansen, head of the DFG department, interviewed Christopher Doll, director of the film, in advance. We were given an interesting insight into the making of the film, how long a film shoot takes and how elaborate some of the scenes were.
Afterwards, the guests had the opportunity to round off the evening with a delicious meal and talk about the film.
