Nine films in the LOLA preselection

Nine DFG-insured films are in pre-selection for the German Film Prize 2019. The final LOLA nominations will be announced on 20 March. The award ceremony will take place on 3 May 2019.

Hamburg, 19 December 2018    -  Pre-nominated in the category „Best movie“ are 100 Things by Florian David Fitz (PANTALEON Films), 25km/h by Markus Goller (Sunnysideup Film) Balloon by Michael Bully Herbig (herbX Film), The Golden Glove by Fatih Akin (bombero international), The boy has to go to the fresh air by Caroline Link (UFA Fiction), Styx by Wolfgang Fischer (Schiwago Film), Transit by Christian Petzold (Schramm Film Koerner & Weber) and Wackersdorf by Oliver Haffner (if...Productions). Dennis Gansel's film adaptation of the children's book Jim Knopf and Lukas der Lokomotivführer (Ratpack Filmproduktion) was pre-nominated in the category „Best children’s movie“.

The final LOLA nominations will be announced on 20 March 2019. The German Film Prize will be awarded on 3 May 2019 in Berlin.
